Lake Windermere Alliance Church’s women ministry hosts two community-oriented Ladies Night Out events each year.  The Spring event and the Christmas event are fun filled evenings of fellowship, delicious dessert and coffee/tea, and a remarkable guest speaker to encourage your heart.  Everyone is welcome and regular event attendees are encouraged to bring along a friend for this great evening with women from the Columbia Valley.   Ladies Night Out Chair – Joyce Matheson – email or call 250.342.6657

Deanna Storfie comes to us from the Lethbridge area of Southern Alberta. She has four grown daughters, four grandchildren and has been married to her husband, Colin, for 30 years. Born and raised in Prince George, BC, she got her start in drama at age 18 when she joined a Christian repertory theater company based out of Los Angeles, called Covenant Players.

 

After traveling and ministering with Covenant Players for a few years she settled in Lethbridge. In 2006 she started Acting Up! Drama after years of writing, performing and directing dramas for churches in her community. Now she visits churches and Christian schools all over western Canada with her God-stories and drama workshops. Deanna has also been volunteering for over 10 years at the Lethbridge Correctional Center, with a group of other women volunteers.  She loves using her dramas to bring hope to women inmates. Her passion is to communicate God’s love for us by telling the true stories of others.
